A great piece of equipment for any premises; a Laptop Charging Locker perfectly combines practicality with security. Most schools/colleges/universities will use laptop and tablets during lectures. As many will be aware, it’s incredibly hard for such devices to maintain charge if used for the duration of an eight hour day. However, before you flock out to purchase more expensive technology, seriously consider a laptop charging locker and what it’s capable of.
The two main benefits of a laptop charging locker is that it’s A) secure storage, and B) it charges electrical items. Being easy to move around isn’t something that should be shrugged off lightly either when it comes to the mobile model. This is because the potential saving is £££, in other words a lot. If you think about it, each laptop could cost anything from £250-700. It soon becomes a very expensive invoice when you try to cater for classes and classes of students. If the laptops were instead scheduled for use, they can charge whilst not in use/being transported and only be used when necessary.
Despite being called ‘laptop charging lockers’, they are in fact suitable for any electrical device of a similar size. Regardless of whether you opt for singular or separate doors; each locker has a UK standard power socket. As long as you have a plug and the item isn’t too big, you’re onto a winner. An underappreciated aspect of the lockers is that they can also act as a safe place to store expensive items.
Why buy a standard storage locker to keep them, when you can have one which charges all laptops at the same time?
The cost saving is immense. There’s no need for ‘computer rooms’ if the laptops can just stay in the classroom. This paves the way for that extra space to be used for different educational needs. Although this blog post has been heavily focused on the use of laptops within an educational capacity, they are suitable for offices, libraries etc.
Can they…
