5 Reasons Your Workplace Needs A Kick Step

You may think ‘a modest kick step’, what can that do for my workplace. Well, the answer is…a lot more than you’d expect. Every work environment will require access at height at one point. Regardless of whether the premises are industrial or commercial based. An office, a pub, shop or warehouse will all benefit without a doubt, and it’s not like they’re even a big investment!Plastic Kick Step

Here, 5 reasons why your workplace should have a kick step:

1) Lightweight & Easy To Carry

You can literally just pick them up and grab them to use. They can generally be stored away in a cupboard out of site. Our plastic kick steps only weighs 3.5 kg yet is able to hold up to 150 kg uniformly distributed load. Therefore size/weight doesn’t at all impact upon the overall performance.

2) Health & Safety Boost

Our range of steel kick steps are GS approved. This means the product has been tested for its purpose and ultimately provides confirmation it is safe to use. Not only is the equipment itself safe, it also ensures that staff are safe. If opting to use a step as opposed to not using one at all, you are subject to overstretching which could result in injury.

3) Little Assembly Necessary

Only a minimal amount of assembly required upon delivery. The majority of kick steps are supplied in two sections – the base and the top section which permanently lock together for a built-in boltless mechanism.

4) Clever Construction

The ‘dead weight’ stature of the product results in a very safe working platform. When weight is applied the step cannot be moved as it somewhat suctions to the floor. After the user is finished using it, step off and it retracts making it easy to move again. Less bulky than mobile steps and much easier to move around.

5) UDL – Weight Capacity

You wouldn’t expect something so small to be capable of holding so much weight. Around the 150 kg mark in fact. For most premises this is more than enough. It’s worth noting that weight must be distributed evenly though.

All in all, we believe you can’t do any wrong by introducing kick steps into the workplace. Due to lack of assembly needed, safety properties and the generous UDL, they are a cost-effective, valuable piece of equipment.
