A few months ago we received an enquiry for some primary school lockers from Darenth Primary School, based in Kent.
Where small children are concerned; keeping an area clean and tidy is not always the easiest task – this doesn’t however make it any less necessary. Like most schools, Darenth School had been using pegs in order for pupils to hang up their belongings. As evidenced in the below BEFORE image, things started to get a little overcrowded.
In agreement with the school, we determined that our Probe Quarto Locker range was the best option for the classroom environment. This was partially due to a number of stand-out features of this model;
- Ventilation holes to avoid contents from becoming stale if left unattended too long.
- Low height build – perfect for primary schools
- Coated with ‘ActiveCoat’ technology, an antibacterial paint coat providing protection against MRSA, E.coli, Moulds and Fungi.
- Ability to choose from 7 different door colours – Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Black, Silver and White.
As is the case with most school organisations, Darenth school were hoping to get their lockers painted to coordinate with their school colours; Yellow, Green and Purple. Each locker unit is supplied separately, therefore it was no problem to get 1/3 with yellow doors and another 1/3 green doors. However, purple isn’t a colour this model is generally available in. We knew how much it meant to the customer to have their lockers matching. As a company we wouldn’t have been happy if we couldn’t completely fulfil our customer’s expectations. After making a case to the manufacturer as to why this was important, our wish was granted. This meant Darenth could have Yellow, Green and Purple door lockers in equal quantities.
A few weeks later we were sent this brilliant ‘After’ photo of the lockers fully installed in their new home.
Quite an improvement, don’t you think? The classroom looks neat and tidy ready for another hard days’ work.
