From an outsiders’ point of view choosing between types of locker is trivial. Of course, alike many other premises; catering, hotel and hospital areas a ‘standard’ is usually agreed upon. This could be as a result of maintenance, style, capacity etc. For example, our leisure centre lockers are ideal for gym areas. One of the many reasons for this is due to their rust-free plastic construction.
There’s nothing worse than entering the changing rooms to be overcome with a stagnant smell. Wet areas such as gym/swimming changing areas tend to hold smells if not cleaned properly. As these areas are frequently used, they are therefore hard to maintain. Due to the nature of a sports centre, personal belongings cannot usually be kept on person. This is where storage lockers come in to play. As previously mentioned, finding the right type can be a bit of task…we don’t want it to be. Our standard metal locker range does its job very well. However, they might not be the best choice for leisure centres.
Instead, our plastic lockers are the preferred option as they are purposefully created for use in wet premises. Uses for this kind of locker extend further than indoors. The UltraBox Plus can even be used outside as they are water resistant, suitable for all weather conditions.
Other features of the Ultrabox Plus model include:
- Strong moulded polyethylene construction – not easily damaged, perfect to deter vandalism
- Coated with an antibacterial finish to prevent growth of harmful bacteria – E.coli, MRSA, Moulds and Fungi
- Corrosion and rust proof
- Doors have drain hole plugs and waterproof door seal
- Waterproof lock options also available
A worthy investment due to low maintenance level and long life span
At the end of the day it’s not a hard decision to make if you’re on the market for new lockers. Schools & Colleges, Spas, Aquatic Centres and Gyms can all benefit from plastic lockers. Reduced maintenance, more hygienic and weather resistant, with a number of accessories and/or optional lock types also available.
