Practicality is being looked upon as a deciding factor more and more in recent years. Saving time on the job where possible essentially speeds up productivity. Within industrial and commercial industries this means assessing different equipment. Foldable Steps are just one of the ways this is happening.
Rather than choosing a step ladder and being done with it, manufacturers are becoming more inventive. Good news for all concerned; more sales from a manufacturing perspective and a higher customer satisfaction rate. As a result, products such as a foldable steps are getting their hay day.
There are a number of reasons why they are so popular, somewhat due to the fact space is precious in warehouses. The folding ability allows the steps to be used when in need and stored away when not. A simple concept for sure, but one that greatly influences a buyer. Smaller and compact is seemingly the future. Whilst still popular; kick steps are big and bulky and also don’t have a handle. From a health and safety perspective, a set of foldable steps is likely to be seen as a more reliable tool.
Size not an issue?
Obviously large warehouse safety steps are not available in a foldable version. This is also for health and safety reasons. However, you can still achieve a reasonable height on the folding models already on the market. Our grey set of folding steps are available in 3 or 4 treads to achieve a max. platform height of 960mm. For the sake of being safer and not risking injury to employees, paired with the fact that they can be collapsed, there aren’t really many downsides.
They can also be used within different jobs. For example, painters and decorators, workers or even DIY enthusiasts would benefit from the folding steps with an attached tool tray. It simply does what it says on the tin. Instead of having to climb up the steps with one tool in tow and keep bobbing up and down to switch, the tray is attached to the top handle therefore the selection is set out in front of the user for easy of use. Delivery drivers and shop workers could put the Step-A-Truck to good use. This combines a sack truck with a set of steps which can of course be folded neatly away.
Our range of steps includes the fold away kind in addition to safety, mobile and handy steps. If you would like to discuss your requirements with a member of staff, please call 01278 783322 or use the contact form.
